We may collect and process the following data about you:

  • Teachers and parents You may give us information about you by filling in forms on our site (our site) or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise. This includes information you provide when you register to use our site, enter a competition or survey, and when you report a problem with our site.
    • Teachers registering (including on a trial basis) for their class or school give their consent at the time of registration to provide us with their own name, school name, email address, and school phone number.
    • Pupils (under the age of 18 years) cannot register to use the site themselves. A teacher, parent or guardian must register for them and give their consent on behalf of the pupil (including on a trial basis).
    • Please note that by registering with the site and providing the requested personal information, whether on a trial or ongoing basis, your consent is deemed to be given.
    • Further, when schools provide pupil information to create accounts for pupils, parental consent is deemed to be given. It is the school's responsibility to seek and confirm parental consent.
    • Parental consent is also deemed to be given by families signing up for a family account.
    • This information is required in order to correctly identify each registrant as a site user, manage their account and for other purposes identified below.
    • For the benefit of impact reporting, you may also opt to provide further pupil details, to include; pupil’s date of birth, pupil’s gender, pupil’s Special Education Needs (SEN) status, pupil’s ethnicity, pupil’s Free School Meal (FSM) status, and details of any languages spoken at the pupil’s home.
  • Information we collect about you. With regard to each of your visits to our site we may automatically collect the following information:
    • technical information, including the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform;
    • information about your visit, including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) clickstream to, through and from our site (including date and time); products you viewed or searched for; page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page and any phone number used to call our customer service number;
    • the answers all users provide to the times table questions and the length of time taken to respond in each case;
  • Information we receive from other sources. We may receive information about you if you use any of the other websites we operate or the other services we provide. In this case we will have informed you when we collected that data that it may be shared internally and combined with data collected on this site. We are also working closely with third parties (including, for example, business partners, affiliates, sub-contractors in technical, payment and delivery services, analytics providers, search information providers) and may receive information about you from them.

    • to improve our site to ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer and to enhance the site generally;
    • to calculate your times tables recall speed and those of your pupil(s);
    • for the preparation of statistical reports and data analysis to assist us in enhancing the learning from our site;
    • as part of our efforts to keep our site safe and secure.
  • Information we receive from other sources. We may combine this information with information you give to us and information we collect about you. We may use this information and the combined information for the purposes set out above (depending on the types of information we receive).


We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We may share your personal information with any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006.

We may share your information with selected third parties including:

  • Business partners, licensors, agents, suppliers and sub-contractors (including for example those that assist us in making the site) for the performance of any contract we enter into with them or you.
  • Analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimisation of our site.

The data that we collect from you is stored on servers in Germany. This includes data about the school or family (name and address), the teachers or parents (names, email addresses, scores) and the pupils or children (identifying information - if the teacher or parent has provided them - and scores).

We use a third party payment processor, Stripe, to process credit card payments made to us. Transactions are encrypted using SSL technology. We do not retain any credit card numbers ourselves. Stripe's use of your personal information is governed by their privacy policy, which may be viewed at

For invoice payments, we use a third party accounting service, FreeAgent, to create and send the invoices. Transactions are encrypted using SSL technology. The information sent to FreeAgent is limited to the billing person's name and email address, the organisation's name and postal address and what you've ordered. You and your pupils/children are responsible for keeping your TT Rock Stars passwords confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

A cookie is a little piece of information handed to a web browser from a web server that contains information that can be retrieved from the server later. When you visit the site the server may attach a cookie to your computer’s memory. We use cookies only to remember what language is set, which school last logged into the machine and the session cookie for knowing who is logged in. To help us better understand your needs, we also use analytical software. This software will save a cookie to your computer’s hard drive in order to track and monitor your engagement and usage of the site, but will not store, save or collect personal information.
